Looking for the Next Page Turner? 'The Inmate' by Freida McFadden is to DIE for ☠️📖
Reading has always been one of my favorite activities. I can literally spend hours getting lost in between the pages of a good book and I'm ALWAYS looking for book recommendations! One of my more recent reads has been 'The Inmate' by Freida McFadden. It kept me on the edge of my seat the ENTIRE time so if you're interested, keep on reading! 😉🤓
*CONTENT WARNING* I will be discussing details of this novel (without giving too much away! Don't worry: there will be NO spoilers! Don't say you weren't warned).
A 28-year-old nurse is looking for a new job after her and her son recently moved back to her hometown. She was finally offered a position at the local penitentiary. Desperate for a job, she quickly accepts and during training, she was informed that she should not disclose any personal information to the inmates...but it may be a bit late for that, seeing as one of the most infamous inmates there was her high school sweetheart. Or that she's the reason why he's there.
This novel takes you on a wild ride as we learn that you can't trust everyone, oftentimes not even those in your closest circle. It also goes to show that the person that you love...may not truly be who you THINK they are.
Overall, I would give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. While it was an exhilarating read, there were some moments that were too predictable. However, it is definitely still worth the read!
Let me know what books you're currently reading or any suggestions you may have. Take some time this week to relax, make yourself a hot drink, and curl up with a good book. You deserve it! 📚💚
