It's NOT too late to set those goals! 📆✅
"Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible."
-Tony Robbins
It still blows my mind that the end of the calendar year is approaching so rapidly! It feels like it was just January 1st, 2022! Granted, we are still in the middle of the Covid pandemic but time really is flying by!
As I was looking over my goals (both short-term and long-term), I realized that I need to kick it up a notch! I can only speak for myself, but sometimes it's easy to get overwhelmed by all of the goals that we want to accomplish that we don't realistically think each step through.
Don't panic! Keep reading to learn more tips on how to set (and complete) your goals! 😉
One philosophy that my parents have beaten into my head over the years is how to set SMART goals.
S- Specific
-State what you'll do
-Use action words
M- Measurable
-Provide a way to evaluate
-Use metrics or data targets
A- Achievable
-Within your scope
-Possible to accomplish, attainable
R- Relevant
-Makes sense within your job function
-Improves the business in some way
T- Time-Bound
-State when you'll get it done
-Be specific on date or timeframe
EX.:
Blog Traffic:
Specific: I want to boost my blog traffic by increasing the weekly publishing cadence from once a week to twice a week ✅
Measurable: My goal is an 8% increase in traffic ✅
Attainable: My blog traffic increased by 5% when I increased my weekly publishing cadence from once a week to twice a week ✅
Relevant: By increasing blog traffic, I'll boost brand awareness and generate more leads ✅
Time-Bound: End of this month ✅
Now, you might be thinking: "DANG, Brittany! This requires a lot of thought and effort on my part."
And you would ABSOLUTELY be correct.
It will take time and effort-but I have found this method to be SO invaluable when it comes to accomplishing my goals.
I have always been more of a visual kinda girl so I absolutely ADORE creating vision boards. It has been an absolute lifesaver because I have my goals written down (MAJOR 🔑) and I can refer back at any point in time!
Goal setting does not have to be a difficult or dreaded experience! If you remain organized (whatever that may mean for you), then you'll be that much closer to reaching your goals!
Don't forget to leave a comment below and tell me what goals you're working towards. I'd love to hear from you!
