Beemoe's Back to School Survival Guide š¤š
It's finally that time of year again: the start of the new school year is upon us. Summer is winding to an end, students (and let's be honest, parents) are trying to get back into a normal sleep schedule. The days of waking up past 10:00 A.M. after binge-watching your favorite shows all night has come to an end.
But it's not ALL bad! School doesn't have to be a dreaded time IF you're prepared for the upcoming school year. Keep reading to find out more! š
Make sure you buy the necessary school supplies!
Whether it's your first day of elementary school, or your last first day of college, you DO NOT want to start off the year without school supplies. Most times, your instructors will tell you exactly what you need to be successful in their course.
2. LOOK AT YOUR SYLLABI š£š
You would not BELIEVE how many times I went into a class, fully expecting to breeze through it but reality hit me...and hard. The syllabus is there for a reason. That should be your guide and it helps to keep you organized while you're juggling several classes. So, lesson of the story: DO NOT be like me. Use your syllabus. You'll be thankful you did! š
3. Make friends in each class!
So this one may feel like a no-brainer but it is so, so important! Try to find a group of people that you have similar interests with and spend time together! Not only will that make your school day a bit more enjoyable, but you'll also have people that can you can call on if you ever need help with schoolwork!
4. Give it 100% but don't forget to make time for you!
And last, but certainly not least, make sure to do your best in school. School presents many challenges, but never forget that you are more than capable of overcoming each obstacle! Stay organized and on top of assignments, but make sure that you're also taking care of YOU: the most important assignment you'll have!
From a recent college graduate to all returning students: I hope you have a great first day and make it a great school year! š
